What a beautiful restaurant with unbelievably delicious food. We ordered the steak - which the butcher helped us select -, slow roasted pork, the meat and cheese platter and daily special of ravioli. Everything was perfectly prepared. You are able to purchase the meats on-site and they even can vacuum seal it to bring home.

Stayed at the Grotta Giusti and was looking for a place to have dinner that features local fare. I was blown away by this Michelin rated gem in a quaint Italian villa. We tried the house special of the day - fried different cuts of pork - tasted like mom just cooked it! The Bistecca Florentina - charred outside, pink inside, tender and flavorful all over. 3 of us shared the 2kg steak. Dessert; tiramisu - always a pleaser and fig pie - sweet crunchy fig covered in crumbly crust is a surprise find. We took a cab as it was dark but we've read that we could have walked it. Made reservations in advance for 7 pm and we were the first ones there. It became busy past 8. Loved the warm and neighborly atmosphere and looked like everyone knew each other. The price value is reasonable. So glad we tried Il Mailettto, will definitely come back.

We have tried almost everything on the menu including the desserts. The 40 days aged stake was the best stake we ever had. The charcuterie board is the meal to start with for sure. Overall if you are in Tuscany, you must eat at this place.

Il Maialetto was overall pretty good! The chef was very nice. He brought out the full block of steak to show us the quality of the steak and let us choose how thick we wanted our steak. The ribeye steak was well salted and cooked to the requested temperature. We also ordered the pork with extra crispy skin and the tomato bread with prosciutto. The pork was very delicious, well seasoned and the crackling skin was amazing. The tomato bread was okay, the prosciutto was cut pretty thick and overwhelmed the tomato spread. My biggest "complaint" would be the fact that no English menu was available. We were able to figure it out with Google Translate, but it would have been nice for a restaurant on the Michelin recommended list to have an English menu available. If you're in town visiting or staying at the Grotto, I would highly recommend visiting Il Maialetto for a good dinner.

We enjoyed this restaurant as you can eat with all the senses, immersed in a great friendly atmosphere, talking to the butcher and the waiter, and a good selection of wine. Defintely a gem in the area!

4.6 | Food was top notch, service was great! Definitely a worthwhile stop if in the area. The flavor on the ribs was perfect while having a crunchy outside and soft inside. Great selection of soft and hard cheeses. Delicious wine pairing options. Overall would absolutely go back!

My recent visit to Il Maialetto was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment I walked in, I was welcomed by a warm and inviting atmosphere. The cozy yet elegant décor set the perfect tone for a memorable meal. The service was impeccable. The staff was attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely seemed to care about our dining experience. Their recommendations were on point, enhancing our meal in every way. Now, onto the main event - the steak. It was cooked to perfection, juicy and full of flavor. The quality of the meat was evident, and it was clear that the chefs take great pride in their craft. The sides were equally delicious, complementing the steak beautifully. Overall, Il Maialetto exceeded my expectations in every aspect. It's a place I would gladly return to and recommend to fellow food enthusiasts. If you're looking for a memorable dining experience, this is the place to be.
